The Renault Megane RS Trophy visible at the Paris Motor Show

With its 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque, coming from the 1,8 liter turbo unit, the new version of the Renault Megane RS Trophy displays its ambitions. Heir to the previous, more “edgy” versions of the Megane RS, the 2018 Trophy vintage will proudly display its traditional yellow livery at the Paris Motor Show.

The mechanical aspect of the Megane saw Renault Sport engineers focus their work on the turbo of the engine block, with a turbine mounted on a ceramic ball bearing. With the properties of the material, friction is divided by three, with a reduced turbo response time. A new exhaust also improves overall performance.

On the transmission side, the Megane RS Trophy is offered both with the six-speed manual gearbox and with the EDC version. This choice provides a maximum torque of 420 Nm.

Equipped with a Cup chassis, offering firmer suspensions (25% more on the shock absorbers, and 30% on the springs) and a mechanical limited slip differential, the RS Trophy also includes a number of technical specificities, such as the four wheels guidelines.
