Audi Grandsphere

What if we stopped using screens?

Yes, it says “grandsphere” without capital letters in the press release. After the skysphere taking the form of a pretty ultra-futuristic luxury convertible, the brand with the rings unveils a concept car giving some indications as to the style of the next large sedans in the range. The Grandsphere grille and its general proportions could be found on the next generation of the A8, the rival limousine of the Mercedes S Class and other BMW 7 Series. With its two electric motors, this machine, halfway between the GT 2+2 and the sedan, develops 720 hp and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4”. A unique detail: its dashboard can make all screens disappear to “detoxify passengers from all-digital technology”. Good luck with the children on a long journey…

Jeep Gladiator

Utility meets pleasure

Beautiful as a truck, Jeep's large pickup is finally arriving on the French market. But this machine with very American proportions, based on the same chassis as the venerable and iconic Wrangler, deals with a mechanics very far from European standards in terms of consumption (a 6 liter petrol V3.0 of 264 hp). So to avoid counting private vehicles in the figures, subject to a strict CO2 emissions scale, the Gladiator falls into the “utility” tax box. It will thus escape the ecological penalty of 30 euros and has four real seats on board. But you will have to count on a particularly generous addition: 000 euros! To be reserved for lovers of very loud 70x900s, therefore.

Dacia jogger

Family is sport

We can always count on Dacia to offer efficient and inexpensive mobility solutions for large families. But until now, customers requiring seven seats on board and/or maximum interior volume had to turn to the large Lodgy minivan with a particularly unattractive appearance. With the Jogger, it will finally be possible to combine cutting-edge roominess and decently flattering style. A sort of Sandero enlarged as much as possible, the Jogger measures 4,55 meters long and has seven seats. This raised station wagon with the false air of an SUV will undoubtedly cost a little less than the Duster with equal engine and equipment. For large families, there will be no equally affordable equivalent.

Radford Type 62-2 JPS

The return of the “John Player Special”

AUTOhebdo readers most likely have a particular fondness for the famous “John Player Special” livery of the Formula 1 Lotus de la fin des années 1970.

Cupra Urban Rebel

Fear City

Do you know a lot of city cars capable of developing 435 hp and going from 0 to 100 km/h in 3”2? Here is the technical sheet for the Cupra Urban Rebel, a concept car unveiled by Seat's sports division at the Munich Motor Show. This machine with urban proportions, equipped with a 100% electric engine, also displays outrageously aggressive lines. In reality, it is only intended to serve as a preview of a future small production model which will probably be sold under the Seat badge and not Cupra. Don't expect to find this extravagant design or such cavalry. Expected for 2025 at the latest, the future Spanish city car should mark the Renault 5 electric.
