Lamborghini presents its Huracan STO

From the track to the road, the step happily taken by Lamborghini. Building on its Huracan Super Trofeo and Huracan GT3 Evo competition models, Sant'Agata Bolognese is offering this Wednesday an extreme vision of its Huracan supercar: the STO (Super Trofeo Omologata).

No change in the DNA and the heart of this beautiful Italian, with the 10 l atmospheric V5,2 of 640 hp (30 more than on the Evo propulsion), offering 565 Nm of torque at 6 rpm, the everything transmitted only to the rear wheels, for more than nervous propulsion.

It is especially on the exterior aspect that the STO brings novelty. Its front part can be summarized according to the brand in a single element, the “cofango” including the bumper, the front hood and the wings. This offers a weight saving, all coupled with the search for maximum aero efficiency.

The front hood offers two openings intended to improve the air flow towards the central radiator, while maximizing downforce, while the new front splitter is responsible for directing the air flow to the rear diffuser.

An air intake on the engine cover precedes a shark fin characteristic of the Super Trofeo version, before an adjustable rear wing for the best possible performance.

The efficiency of airflow is thus improved by 37% when the aero downforce is up 53% compared to the already nasty Performante version.

The mass gain results in maximum use of carbon fiber, coupled with magnesium rims. The weight on the scale thus amounts to 1339 kg empty, 43 less than the Performante. All with greatly improved braking thanks to work in conjunction with Brembo.

The interior of the Huracan STO obviously offers the whole world of racing, with carbon fiber featured, from the bucket seats to the door panels. All… for €249 excluding tax
