Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25

Happy birthday, Manthey Racing!

Will the Porsche 911 type 991 never die? Replaced by the 992 generation at the end of 2018, the model still serves as the basis for homologation for the GT3 R and other racing RSRs. And almost three years after the end of its civilian career, the German manufacturer unveils a new extreme variant of this 911 type 991. The GT2 RS Clubsport 25 is based on the GT2 RS Clubsport unveiled in 2018, reserved for circuit and track use. not approved for the road. It keeps its 6 horsepower twin-turbo flat-700 and its dual-clutch gearbox. But its focus differs in terms of aerodynamics and chassis settings. Designed in collaboration with Manthey Racing, it celebrates the 25th anniversary of the famous racing team which often represents the interests of Porsche in GT competition. Let us point out that this car, costing 525 euros excluding taxes, limited to 000 examples, will not be allowed to drive on the road or in competition. When we love…

Morgan Plus Four CX-T

English safari

Everyone knows the Morgans, these adorable English roadsters whose style has changed very little since the 50s. Launched in 1950, the Plus Four still benefits from modern technology under its convertible silhouette according to -war. And here it is available in an improbable all-terrain version for those who really want to get dirty far from the asphalt roads. The CX-T uses a small BMW-sourced turbocharged four-cylinder, developing 258 hp and mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Equipped with considerably reinforced suspensions and offering ground clearance of 230 millimeters, the CX-T also receives all-terrain tires. It remains authentic rear-wheel drive, but Morgan promises excellent traction thanks to a BMW xDrive rear differential whose “All Terrain Extreme” mode locks the rear axle 100% in the event of a really difficult passage. Morgan will only build eight examples of this extraordinary machine, sold at a price of 170 pounds sterling (000 euros).

Czinger C21

Hybrid record

Like Hennessey, Koenigsegg or Rimac, Czinger wants to design the most efficient sports car in the world. Rather than a powerful thermal engine or a fully electric powertrain, the Californian brand prefers to rely on hybrid technology to achieve its goals. Its rear hood hides a 8-liter V2.88 with a flat-plane crankshaft, capable of running at 11 rpm. Two electric motors drive each front wheel, bringing the total power to 000 horsepower for only 1250 kg dry on the scale (and with up to 1151 kg of aero downforce at very high speed!). In addition to a 2500 to 0 km/h announced in 100”1 and a 9-0-300 km/h in 0”13, Czinger has just sent the C8 to the Laguna Seca circuit. With its Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 21R, the car is now the fastest road car in the world in 2'1"25, two seconds ahead of the McLaren Senna. Expected price? 1,7 million euros.

Renault Clio VI

The city car of the future?

Appeared in 1990, the Renault Clio currently exists in its fifth generation. We know that it will be joined in the range within a few years by a fully electric city car, inspired by the original Renault 5. And Alpine working on a sporty version of this electric Renault 5. So, what will happen to the Clio? Titouan Lemarchand, Guillaume Mazerolle and César Barreau look into the question. Supported by the Renault style center, these three design students at the Strate school offer us their vision of the Clio of the future. Fully electric and imaginaryly based on the diamond brand's future electric platform, it looks like a real concept car and places emphasis on interior space. A total break with the current Clio.

Lotus Type 62-2 Radford

More retro
