The traditional Artcurial sale of Rétromobile 2019 will offer exceptional models, including one Alpine A110 Group 4 from 1973, having won the Rally Portugal.

The most beautiful cars from the Artcurial sale at Rétromobile

The great mass of historic automobiles Rétromobile (February 6-10) will once again be the scene of an Artucrial sale which will inevitably be closely scrutinized, with some exceptional models on sale this year.

If theAlfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Touring Berlinetta from 1939 is expected to be near the top of the auction block, with an expected base price above 16 million euros, the eyes of motorsport fans are expected to turn to several racing cars, including one Alpine A110 1800 Group 4 ex-factory, which won the Rally of Portugal 1973 in the hands of Jean-Luc Thérier.

Already second in the Monte-Carlo Rally with Ove Andersson (co-driven by Jean Todt), this Alpine A110, chassis no. 18290 will win on Lusitanian soil a few weeks later, fully participating in obtaining the world Manufacturers' title for the Dieppe firm at the end of the season.

 

 

Erik Comas, then Didier Calmels subsequently became owners in recent years, the partner of the Signatech team in Endurance engaging him in several historic events (Tour de Corse, etc.).

Other cars which will evoke memories for rally enthusiasts, the civilian versions of a Citroën BX 4TC (launched more than briefly in Group B by the chevron brand in 1986), or even a Lancia Delta Evo. We will also highlight a Bugatti 51 Grand Prix from 1931.

 

 

Among the more exclusive road models, Aston Martin DB4, Ferrari 275 GTC, Porsche 550 A Spyder, will among others be part of the lots offered.
