McLaren announces the arrival of a new GT

McLaren arrives at the Geneva Motor Show (Switzerland) with a simple slogan: reinventing Grand Tourism ! The British manufacturer held a press conference on Tuesday March 5 during which Managing Director Mike Flewitt revealed some images of a future model.

In this video, we can see a heavily camouflaged vehicle. Alas, no details concerning the engine, the name or even its production date have been given. Here is still what the CEO wanted to say. “It will be a car that brings together competition level performance with cross-continental capabilities, all packaged in a sublime lightweight package. » So far, this wisely fits the definition of a GT.

“It’s a car created for long distances while providing comfort. But with an agility never experienced in this segment until now”, specifies Mike Flewitt. This McLaren will be distinguished mainly by its lightness, “the lightest GT and also the one with the best weight/power ratio. It will be one of the fastest. »

The McLaren Grand Touring will have a design “smooth and elegant” and will have its engine placed in a central position.
