McLaren Artura: the hybrid turning point

The new “MCLA” carbon body concept (McLaren Carbon Lightweigt Architecture), promises to be McLaren's new technological gem. This innovation gives an airy appearance to the car while enhancing its performance. With the slogan “Form follows function”, the Artura aims to be a supercar at the pinnacle of ergonomics.

On the engine side, it is equipped with a 6L twin-turbo gasoline V3 coupled to a high-electricity battery. This sports car seems ultra efficient since it reaches 680 hp (585 hp thermal and 95 electric), for a 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds, in particular thanks to its remarkable weight (1498 kg!), reduced by its new materials. Electrohydraulic rear suspensions improve the agility and stability of the beast, for road handling calculated down to the last detail.

It has the particularity of being economical, all the advantages of a hybrid, and boasts of displaying 129 grams of CO2 per kilometer. A very interesting score for its driving power! Its 7,4 watt battery for an electric range of 30km seems to be the only ink stain on its CV.

On the cockpit side, the English are banking on a refined design like the car with a steering wheel attached to the meters and the new 8-inch screen at the cutting edge of innovation featuring a unique assistance system for a McLaren.

The McLaren Artura is already available to order. Prices start at 215.000 euros.
