McLaren reveals the lines of the Speedtail

McLaren has finally lifted the veil on the Speedtail which will be the first hypercar from the British brand. Produced in only 106 copies at a price of 1,75 million pounds (nearly 2 million euros), excluding taxes of course, this work of art surprises with a particularly stretched line with a carbon fiber body of a length of 5,2m weighing only 1430kg.

Parking will be made easier by retractable exterior cameras replacing the traditional rear-view mirrors used on most cars for lower-income populations. This detail was actually designed to optimize the aero which will be further aided by movable rear wings and solid rims on the front wheels. No sun visor on the menu to avoid glare, the engineers preferred to develop a windshield that can darken according to the driver's needs which will be placed in the center of the passenger compartment as for the McLaen F1.

The performance is worthy of the asking price. If manufacturers are used to measuring the time from 0 to 100km/h, the 12''8 allows here to reach the speed of 300km/h. The McLaren Speedtail will be able to reach 403km/h with its hybrid propulsion with a power of 1050hp, a speed never before reached by a Woking mount sold commercially. But for this price, the points recovery course doesn't seem that expensive.
