McLaren presented the 620R, a civilized version of the 570S GT4, which competes in the various championships adopting the regulations pushed by SRO Motorsports.

McLaren unveils its 620R

If the McLaren 570S GT4 is not the most widely distributed in the various championships, Woking will offer the possibility to wealthy enthusiasts to benefit from a civilian version of this racing car.

The 620R is based on the mechanical elements of the 570S GT4, and offers 620 hp (the highest power of the McLaren Sports Series cars) and 620 Nm of torque, thanks to the 8-liter twin-turbo V3,8 block.

The basics of the aerodynamics and the chassis are also taken from the racing version, with 185 kg of downforce at 250 km/h and a total mass on the scale displayed at 1282 kg. The result of the adoption of lightweight materials such as carbon for the brake discs, aluminum for the calipers, the suspension...

350 copies will be produced from next January at a price including tax of €297.
