An exceptional stand for Citroën’s 100th anniversary at Rétromobile

Citroën will experience an important year in 2019 by celebrating its centenary. What could be better than the Rétromobile show (February 6-10 at Porte de Versailles in Paris) to celebrate this anniversary? The Chevron manufacturer hits very hard with a stand of 30 historic cars, divided into three distinct sections.

The sporting part will concentrate the last victorious Citroëns in WRC, riding a rally-raid and on circuit: the ZX Rallye-Raid, the Xsara Kit-Car, the C4 WRC, the C-Élysée WTCC and the new C3 WRC. To these cars are added the old ones DS 21 of the 1969 Morocco Rally, the SM also seen at the Rallye du Maroc in 1971 and a 2 CV used during the Raid Afrique between Ivory Coast and Tunisia in 1973.

The Scarabée d'or caterpillar, author of the first crossing of the Sahara between December 17, 1922 and the 7th ship 1923, and the racing car "La Rosalie des records", holder of several distance records in the early 1930s.

The part reserved for concept cars will not be missed with in particular the famous concept GTbyCitroën, made in 2008 for the video game Gran Turismo on PlayStation. Its performance is first rate: thanks to its engine 8 horsepower gasoline V640, 330 km/h are reached at maximum speed and 0 to 100 achieved in three seconds.

The other nine concepts will be the C10, the Camargue, the Karin, the Activa 1, the Xanae, the Osmose, the C-Métisse, the Tubik and the CXPERIENCE. Finally, ten production vehicles will be presented: Type A 10 HP, C3 5 HP, Traction Avant, Type H, 2 CV, DS 21 Pallas, Méhari, CX 25 Prestige, C6 and C5 Aircross.
