This was only its second participation in competition, and the Audi RS Q e-tron is already victorious! The hybrid vehicle won the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2022 this Thursday March 10 thanks to Stéphane Peterhansel and Édouard Boulanger.
Another smooth run for @s_peterhansel and Edouard Boulanger in stage 4 of the 2022 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. They are leading the event in their Audi RS Q e-tron* by more than 30 minutes.

The French crew, although not registered in this second round of the new World Championship of rally-raid (W2RC) a battu les favoris pour le titre. Hélas, le combat annoncé face aux 4×4 à moteur essence de Nasser Al-Attiyah-Mathieu Baumel (Toyota) and Sébastien Loeb-Fabian Lurquin (BRX) did not take place because these two opponents were penalized by several hours from the first stage due to mechanical problems.
Leading from the first special with a best time, “Monsieur Dakar”, who also happens to be “Monsieur Abu Dhabi” (6 times winner in Auto) then managed his lead over Yazeed Al-Rajhi (Toyota) until that the Saudi is also the victim of a breakage.
For Peterhansel-Boulanger, this is their first success in the general classification of a rally-raid aboard the Audi equipped with several electric motors of Formula E and a TFSI block of DTM. Last January, the Audi won three stage victories on the Dakar thanks also to Carlos Sainz-Lucas Cruz and Mattias Ekström-Emil Bergkvist. The competition is more than warned!

The podium is completed by the independent crews Martin Prokop-ViktorChytka (Ford) and Jakub Przygonski-Timo Gottschalk (Mini JCW Buggy).
