Once is not customary, Sébastien Loeb presents himself at the start of a competition in the role of the outsider. The Alsatian is in fact 22 points behind Nasser Al-Attiyah before the final of the World Championship of rally-raid (W2RC), the Andalusia Rally (Spain, October 18-23).
The spearhead of the Bahrain Raid Xtreme team must count on a major poor performance from his opponent on Toyota if he wants to win. Nevertheless, the nature of the Andalusian terrain, very close to the dirt specials of WRC and practically without navigation pitfalls, should help him to seek victory in the event.
We're all ready for the @Andalucia_Rally here in southern Spain.

“The objective is to have the best possible result, announces Sébastien Loeb, who will listen to the notes of Belgian Fabian Lurquin. We saw at the Morocco Rally that we were on the pace (1 stage victory. Editor’s note), so I hope to be competitive in Andalusia. For the Championship, we are aiming for the perfect result and the maximum points available; our goal is to manage our rally as best as possible.
The rally will be different to what we are used to in the more open deserts of rally raid with many tracks which should suit my driving, so I hope to perform well there with the aim of winning the rally. » This will be his first participation in the Andalusia Rally, created by David Castera to alleviate travel restrictions linked to Covid-19 in 2020.
“Andalusia should be a completely different event from Morocco but we are well prepared for that, confirms Gus Beteli, Team Principal of BRX. We have a chance to win the Drivers' and Constructors' Championship and we are focused on getting as many points as possible after the speed we had in Morocco. »

Sébastien Loeb will not be the only one to drive a 4×4 Hunter. The recent winner of the Rallye du Maroc, Frenchman Guerlain Chicherit, under the GCK Motorsport banner, will be there.
“It’s great to have the GCK Motorsport team back with us after their brilliant victory, so I hope we can have as strong a result as last time », concludes Gus Beteli.
