Morocco Rally, Stage 2: The proud reaction of Sébastien Loeb, new leader!

At the carnival, we would call it a total upheaval. Uncommon in Morocco, because it is above all a European activity born at the end of the XNUMXth century, the game of skill nevertheless made a clear place during the second stage of the Rally of Morocco, contested this Monday, October 3 between Tan-Tan and Laâyoune over 315 km.
Even science fiction fans hadn't thought of it. Within 24 hours, Sébastien Loeb and Fabian Lurquin (BRX) went from failed stars to potential big winners. The Franco-Belgian crew, who left 24 minutes late this Monday morning due to two punctures and a broken suspension shaft the day before, worked extra hard in the first lines of dunes on the route.
The nine-time world rally champion (WRC), who arrived in Morocco as leader of the World Rally Raid Championship (W2RC), left everyone behind to sign an indisputable stage victory. The Bahrain Raid
Operated by the English engineers of Prodrive, but entered under the banner of GCK Motorsport, the BRX repainted in the “Mad Max” style of Guerlain Chicherit and Alexandre Winocq continues to play the leading roles. The French crew even led the debates at the start of the stage before slowing down (3rd at 18'08''). This remains an excellent performance for adventurer Chicherit's first outing aboard the British 4×4.
Like happiness that never comes alone, Sébastien Loeb-Fabian Lurquin take control of the Rallye du Maroc! In fact, the Toyota Hilux of Yazeed Al-Rajhi-Dirk Von Zitzewitz and Nasser Al-Attiyah-Mathieu Baumel suffered many slowdowns, mostly punctures. The Al-Attiyah-Baumel duo had a difficult day and lost almost an hour. Their overall outlay exceeds half an hour! More information to come.
