The fourth and penultimate stage of Rally of Morocco 2022 has definitively excluded Sébastien from the game Loeb and Fabian Lurquin (BRX). The Franco-Belgian couple was seeking final victory two days after a stage victory, but the mechanics of the Hunter T1+ decided otherwise, between Laâyoune and Tan-Tan, this Wednesday, October 5.

The nine-time world rally champion (WRC) had to stop around the 127 km mark (out of 346) to repair a power steering failure on his 4×4. The leader of the Bahrain Raid

Dispossessed of its Alsatian star, the North African event does not lose interest. Having become leaders of the rally-raid on the evening of the third day, Guerlain Chicherit and Alexandre Winocq (GCK Motorsport) consolidated their advantage. The French crew, which operates aboard a Hunter operated by Prodrive, is putting everything in place to achieve a great victory. He now has a 9'57'' margin over Argentinian Orlando Terranova (BRX).

On the third step of the podium overall, we find Nasser Al-Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel. The winners of the Dakar 2022 continue their climb up the hierarchy, after spending more than 50 minutes due to four punctures during the second stage.

This fourth special is won by the fastest Saudi ever, Yazeed Al-Rajhi (Toyota). Navigated by German Dirk Von Zitzewitz, the Overdrive team driver has fond memories of the bivouac after being the first leader of the Rallye du Maroc at the end of the Prologue last Saturday.
