How does the World Rally Raid Championship work?

The World Championship of rally-raids (W2RC) is competing in its second competition of the 2022 season at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge (March 5-10). This new discipline, organized by Amaury Sport Organization (ASO) with the FIA ​​and the FIM, brings together five rounds and has the particularity of awarding points after each stage of each event. In the general classification of W2RC, du côté des Autos, les vainqueurs du Dakar Nasser Al-Attiyah et Mathieu Baumel (Toyota) ne comptent qu’un petit point de marge sur Sébastien Loeb and Fabian Lurquin (Bahrain Raid Xtreme).

 

Quite logically, Toyota Gazoo Racing leads the Manufacturers' standings ahead of Bahrain Raid Xtreme and X-Raid on equal points:
