Next season, the Race of Champions will take place on February 5 and 6 and it will take place in Sweden. This competition, which brings together a panel of the best drivers in each discipline, awards the Nations Cup and the Champion of Champions Cup, after two 3-hour events. For the 10th time, Sebastian Vettel announced his participation. He will represent Germany with another driver from Formula 1 and his compatriot, namely Mick Schumacher.
“I'm really looking forward to competing in the Race of Champions again and representing Germany with Mick, declares the four-time F1 world champion. At the ROC Mexico, we came 2nd at the ROC Nations CUP, so our goal is to do better in Sweden. The competition will be very strong, especially from the Nordic riders who have much more experience than us on snow and ice.”
“Representing Germany with Sebastian will be a lot of fun, and we are obviously aiming to win a trophy again, comments the pilot Haas and former champion of F2 et F3. We must continue the success of the German team and fight for victory. The other drivers, especially the Nordic ones, have more experience driving on ice. Regardless, I’m so looking forward to meeting all the other drivers and spending time with them during the ROC weekend.”
The two Germans join a very prestigious group of candidates, since Jimmie Johnson, Mika Hakkinen, Valtteri Bottas, Sebastian Loeb, Tom Kristensen, Johan Kristoffersson, Petter Solberg and Oliver Solberg have already announced their participation. Other names should be revealed in the coming days.
