The Alpes-Maritimes resort was dressed in white to host the third stage of the e-Andros Trophy 2022-2023 on the ultra-technical 800m turnstile designed by Arnaud Trévisol's teams.
The drivers set off for the first qualifying round on a particularly soft track due to ideal weather conditions for spectators... a little less so for the ice circuit. In impressive sprays of powder, the best time went to Dorian Boccolacci (#3 – AS01 – Sébastien Loeb Racing) who was ahead of the two DA Racing teammates, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (#1 – Renault Zoé – DA Racing) and Olivier Pernaut (#4 – Renault Zoé – DA Racing).
While numerous patches of tar appeared on the track, Boccolacci and Dubourg made the logical choice to spare their tires by skipping the second qualifying heat. The best time, guaranteed a place in the Super Final, went to championship leader Aurélien Panis (#38 – Audi A1 Isère – Sainteloc Racing) despite his 60kg of ballast. With the 4rd time, Yann Ehrlacher (#68 – AS01 Dupessey – Mracing) managed at the last minute to snatch the last qualifying place and started first for the Super Pole after the traditional draw led by Max Mamers.
Thanks to his fresh tires, Boccolacci set a fantastic time to win the Super Pole ahead of JB Dubourg and Olivier Pernaut who were definitely very comfortable on this circuit where he won in 2021.
The Super Final was just a formality for the Sébastien Loeb Racing driver who held off Dubourg's attacks to win with the point for best lap as a bonus.
In the provisional Elite Pro general classification of the 2022-2023 Andros e-Trophy, Aurélien Panis is now 20 points ahead of Jean-Baptiste Dubourg and Dorian Boccolacci who is just 3 points behind him.
