e-Trophée Andros – Yann Ehrlacher raises the bar

The double WTCR World Champion regained his splendor to win this second Andorran round e-Andros Trophy in front of Aurélien Panis and Dorian Boccolacci. Much of the credit goes of course to his team, the M Racing of Yvan Muller, his uncle's ten-time Andros Trophy champion, who managed to optimize the settings of his AS 01 Dupessey during the night.

The racing conditions were very different today with the track digging up impressive ruts that were ideal for spectacle but devastating for the cars.

The ride heights rose all day, but it took a huge amount of racing science to find the right trajectories and spare the mechanics. In this game Ehrlacher showed himself to be sovereign.

We know that the big points are to be taken during the qualifying heats but the prestige of a victory in the Super Final during the peloton race is certainly the greatest reward for the drivers. A sluggish start from pole position pushed Ehrlacher back to third but he quickly cleared the Boccolacci and Panis obstacles to win the race. The marks on his AS 01 Dupessey testify to the roughness of the event but his runner-up Aurélien Panis could only recognize the superiority of his winner.

Jean-Baptiste Dubourg and Aurélien Panis leave the principality of Andorra perfectly tied on points, 6 lengths ahead of Yann Ehrlacher. Nathanaël Berthon retains fourth place, but remains under threat from Dorian Boccolacci, just reward for the consistency of the lively Cannes driver from Pierre Martinet's team.
