The E-Andros Trophy strikes a big blow by securing the services of the former pilot of F1, which has confirmed its presence in the next season which will begin on December 4-5 in Val Thorens (Savoie). The Frenchman with 179 Grand Prix starts joins the benchmark team for ice racing, DA Racing, led by its leader Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (five-time champion). We should therefore find him behind the wheel of a Renault, the Gironde team having been the representative of the Losange in Andros for several years.
“I have always loved driving on ice. Sharing a car with Julien Fébreau in a team that I particularly like with a partner who is particularly close to my heart is a beautiful story. I will first discover how to drive the DA Racing e-Silhouette and then why not try to win a race, as has happened every time I have been on the ice, that would be great. But Above all, I will enjoy the races in a period that is usually calm.”
The man with 10 podiums in F1 will be entered in the Elite Pro category and will share his car with his friend, the sports commentator (and driver of Rallycross France), Julien Fébreau, who will play in Elite. Romain Grosjean is no stranger to the competition launched by Max Mamers: in 2016, he won the Alpe d'Huez event and his debut dates back to the 2009-10 season, already with DA Racing.
