Isola 2000 – Race 2: Boccolacci dominates, Panis widens the gap in the championship

• The Gorilla strikes again! Dorian Boccolacci won the Super Final of Race 2 at Isola 2000, the third meeting of the Andros Trophy. The pilot of the Sébastien Loeb Racing gleaned its second championship victory on ice after Val Thorens, winning easily this Saturday afternoon ahead of Nathanaël Berthon and Aurélien Panis.
• Aurélien Panis, leader of the championship upon arriving in the Alpes-Maritimes, took advantage of this result to take a lead in the championship with 359 points, ahead of Yann Ehrlacher (332 points) and Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (326 points). Dorian Boccolacci hangs up and is in 4th place with 317 points.
• In the “small Finale” to fix the ranking from 7th to 12th place, it was Jean-Baptiste Dubourg who easily won, with a nice margin of 7″6 over Sylvain Pussier. A small consolation for the one who won Race 1 on Friday evening. Julien Fébreau finished 5th in this small final and is therefore ranked 11th overall in Race 2.
• In the Elite category, Stéphane Ventaja won in Race 2 ahead of the championship leader, Louis Gervoson, and Sylvain Pussier. Margot Laffite finished in 6th place, and Olympic pole vault champion Renaud Lavillenie finished in 9th place.
