It was a disappointed reigning champion that we left at Isola 2000 at the end of a weekend as white as the snow in the Savoyard resort. Back in force this Friday because from the first tests, the driver of the Renault Zoe Glace marks the occasion by setting the best time in front of Pierre-Louis Loubet who is increasingly comfortable, which he confirms by taking the 4th time in qualifying. Dubourg wins these qualifications thanks to a great time in Q1 which protects him from the return of Aurélien Panis. The Championship leader, however, takes important points and is in a good position for Super Pole.

The son of Olivier Panis unfortunately cannot do anything in Super Pole against an unleashed JB Dubourg and must bow out. The good performance of these confrontations on the clock is to the credit of Nicolas Prost who certainly had his most complete day of the season and took third place on the grid for the Super Final. Lack of sensations, however, for Nathanaël Berthon who failed in seventh place and had to be content with a victory in the “small” final.

At the start of the Elite Pro Super Final, Aurélien Panis and Dorian Boccolacci could be grateful to the Sainteloc Racing mechanics who managed the feat of restoring their cars after their teammates crashed in the Elite Final. Dubourg for his part knew that to save his season he had to win this evening. A school start propelled him into the lead at the green light, but everything had to be done again when Boccolacci, Loubet and Sarhy hung on at the second hairpin. Great job once again from the mechanics who put the cars back together and we're off again for 5 laps. Once again Dubourg keeps the advantage of his pole position and despite his efforts Aurélien Panis cannot get back on the Zoe, but knows that this fine second place allows him to retain the lead in the Championship.

Elite Pro general ranking after Round 1 of Lans-en-Vercros:

As for the Elite category, Nathan Bihel signs his first victory in e-Andros Trophy and offers a nice reward to M Racing and its boss Yvan Muller. Second place for Clémentine Lhoste who fails to repeat her feat from last season which saw her score a double, but confirms the extent of her talent. Julien Febreau takes third place and no longer seems determined to get off the podium this season!

Return to the track tomorrow at 17:00 p.m. for qualifying before a long-awaited final Elite Pro Super Final scheduled for 22:20 p.m.
