This first race ideally launches an exceptional weekend at Isola 2000. In ideal conditions, the drivers had a blast on the very technical track of the Savoyard resort.

From the first tests, Aurélien Panis stood out by being the first driver to go below 50 seconds per lap with a time of 49,941s, Dorian Boccolacci confirming the good form of the Audi A1s with second position.

But it was just an appetizer before qualifying. Nathanaël Berthon is the quickest to draw in Q1 and wins the session ahead of Christophe Ferrier. The reigning champion Jean-Baptiste Dubourg struggles to find a satisfactory pace and only ranks 7th. The second session did not bring him any answers and he preferred to settle for 2 laps and a 13th position after making a small mistake at the start of his third lap. Victory in the small final in front of Nicolas Cheers is little consolation, but JB finally seems to have found good settings for a Zoe that he described as too sharp at the start of the day.

Aurélien Panis finally won the second qualifying session ahead of Sylvain Pussier but could not dislodge Berthon from the top of the ranking. Berthon will then work to take the Super Pole ahead of Aurélien Panis and Olivier Pernault. A hard blow on the other hand for Christophe Ferrier, until then very lively, who had to stop his AS01 in the colors of the Nice Metropolis in full effort.

The Super Final will not change the established order and Berthon wins to take the day's round ahead of Aurélien Panis who takes the lead of the championship and Yann Ehrlacher.

With two races to go tomorrow and an expected return to form from Dubourg and the Renault Zoe ice, the championship remains very uncertain.

Elite Pro ranking of Race 1 of Isola 2000:

In the Elite category, Clémentine Lhoste and Julien Fébreau went blow for blow in qualifying. It was ultimately Clémentine who won the round, returning to the top of the rankings, she who had marked the history of Andros Trophy by becoming the first woman to win two races in the same weekend last year in Lans en Vercors. The young pilot of the Peugeot e208 Loxam took the opportunity to achieve a nice close in the championship.
