After opening this edition of the Le Mans Classic on Friday, the prototypes in the Group C field are preparing to entertain the spectators with the Mazda 787B with a rotary engine headlining.

Jaguar and Peugeot replay a decade of epic duels at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Group C Racing field brings together cars from the period 1982-1993, considered the golden age ofEndurance . A great transition to the 2023 centenary edition which will see the world's largest manufacturers return to the track in the Hypercar category.

De la meute de Jaguar, aux lionnes 905, on peut retrouver une incroyable collection de Porsche 956 et 962 couvrant une décennie de compétition de la marque de Stuttgart, et une Aston Martin in competition condition.

Le comité d’accueil du paddock est composé de deux prototypes japonais iconiques dont la Toyota 85C confiée à Kazuki Nakajima, whose father Satoru was part of the car's crew in 1985. For the anecdote, this car had invited the winners' trophy during the 2022 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Although it is not expected for the race scheduled for 11:30 a.m., the Mazda 787B with a rotary engine, victorious in the 1991 edition of the 24 Hours, completed several demonstration laps.

On the Jaguar side, two XJR8s, three XJR9s, an XJR12 and an XJR14 are preparing to grind down the Sarthe tarmac.

Two Peugeot 905 Evo 1 are ready to give them a nice spread on the track.

On the Porsche side, the 962C once driven by Henri Pescarolo will be followed by the many fans of the great Henri present on the circuit.

The Spice are of course present at the party, with exceptional levels of preparation close to those of their competitive era.

Emblematic Kenwood, Momo, Labatt’s or Speedy liveries, everyone will be able to find their happiness and their Proust madeleine within this exceptional moving automobile museum.

The visit ends with a greeting to the two Nissans recently received in the Ascott Collection workshops and expected for the 2023 edition. Le Mans Classic is already tomorrow.
