The 2021 season of the French Historic Circuit Championship (Historic Tour) concludes on the weekend of October 23 and 24 on the hilly track of Lédenon (Gard). There is no shortage of stakes to know who will win the two titles at stake in the 20 races planned:
As for the Single-seater/Protos classification, the Formula expert Renault Lionel Robert is the big favorite to succeed Frédéric Rouvier. Having dominated the season in Formula Renault Classic (in a Martini MK48), Le Mans is capable of winning the title on Saturday. Ranked in this order behind him, Matthieu Châteaux (F3 Classic, Ralt RT3) François Belle (Formula Ford Historic, Lola T540) and Gislain Genecand (Formula Ford Historic and Formula Kent, Crosslé 25F and Van Diemen RF92) are the other surest candidates for the final podium.
In GT/Touring, the BMW M3 GTR of Sébastien Mathieu also has a comfortable lead ahead of the Youngtimers GTI Cup specialist, Damien Benjamin (Honda Civic). Not affected by the French Championships, the Lotus Trophy will pit the infernal trio of Dominique Vulliez, Anthony Delhaye and Xavier Jacquet against each other.
Saturday October 23: Qualifying from 8:30 a.m. to 10:05 a.m. Races (11) from 10:15 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. and from 14:05 p.m. to 18:30 p.m.
Sunday October 24: Races (9) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. and from 13:40 p.m. to 16:25 p.m.
