Vector W8: The Monster
She seems straight out of a furious manga from this decade. The Vector W8, released in 1989 in the United States in only 20 copies, will come out of its reserve to reach the castles of the Loire this weekend.

Powered by a Chevrolet utility V8 to which two Garrett turbos were added to develop 650 horsepower, the W8 is a unique car, whose interior resembles the K2000. Its automatic gearbox only has three gears, but official data indicated a maximum speed of 350 km/h!

Lamborghini Countach: The icon
She made all the kids of the 80's dream. While the Sant'Agata Bolognese manufacturer is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary having been revealed to the public in 1971, it is the LP 5000 QV version which will be rolling to the town of Vendôme this weekend.

This third improvement of the transalpine coupe has four valves per cylinder (the “Quattro Valvole” from QV) and the naturally aspirated V12 engine increases to 5,2 liters of displacement. Power jumps to 455 horsepower, only on the rear tires of course!

Ferrari F40: The legend
With the Countach, the F40 competed for the unofficial title of queen of the 80s. The last creation during Enzo Ferrari's lifetime, the F40 relied on brutality, the absence of electronics and elegant aerodynamics (Cd of 0,34) .

Its 8-liter V2.9 was perhaps less tuneful than its Italian rival's V12, but the addition of two IHI turbos had made it a rolling bomb, capable of trapping its drivers with the turbo's long response time.

Audi Sport Quattro SWB: The adventurer
At Vendôme 80, it's the pilot Porsche en Formula E and three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans André Lotterer who will be at the wheel. However, where the Audi stood out was in rally.

It was also for the purpose of homologation in the demonic Group B that the brand with the Rings had built the Quattro in a limited series. Compared to supercars, its engine is more compact (2.1 liters of 302 horsepower), but it is the four-wheel drive system and a short wheelbase that made it extremely efficient on all winding roads.

Lamborghini LM002: The incongruous
No, Lambo' didn't just build radical coupes, as evidenced by this astonishing 4×4, produced in 301 units between 1986 and 1993. First imagined to supply all-terrain vehicles to the American army, this project original will be converted into a luxury 4x4.

It is therefore not for nothing that the princes of the Middle East appreciated it. The LM002 retains, despite its enormous dimensions (4,9 m long, 2 m wide and 1,85 m high), the DNA of the firm, namely a V12 from the Countach!
