24H. from the Mans - Alpine regains power before the Hyperpole

Down since the Test Day of 24 Hours of Le Mans 2022, Alpine received additional power from the legislator. While the Balance of Performance had restored a little of what the French team had lost between Sebring and Spa-Francorchamps, it was not enough for the A480 to keep up with the pace of the Toyota and Glickenhaus on one lap, and it was even complicated for the ex-LM P1 to escape from the LM P2 peloton during the various sessions which have taken place since Sunday.
Philippe Sinault, Team Principal ofAlpine Elf Endurance Team, explained to us after the Test Day: “There is a real dialogue with the ACO and the FIA, they are aware that it would be good if we could benefit from an evolution of our package, in order to have a battle as we saw in the first quarter hour Saturday. That would delight everyone. We also have areas of progress, particularly in the use of the car. We have things to work on to improve our copy. »
After these discussions, the prototype used by the Dieppe brand recovered 11 MJ of energy, rising to 785 MJ. This corresponds to 7kW more. Alpine had nevertheless requested 10kW. As for the GR010 Hybrid from Toyota and 007 LMH from Glickenhaus, nothing changes.
