24H. Le Mans – EL4: The last session for Toyota

After their double in Hyperpole, the Toyota GR010 hybrids dominated a Free Practice 4 session where the pace dropped in the night at Le Mans. For this last driving session before the start of the race, Saturday at 16 p.m., Jose Maria Lopez was the fastest with a lap of 3:31.869 at the wheel of the #7. The Argentinian beat his teammate Sébastien Buemi on No. 8 by 0.362 seconds. The #007 Glickenhaus 708 LMH completed the podium, 1.819 seconds behind the best time, with Pipo Derani at the wheel.

The No. 07 Oreca 23-Gibson driven by Alex Lynn set the best time in the LM P2 category in 3:32.226. The Briton got the better of Job van Uitert of Panis Racing by 0.196 seconds. Jota No. 28 got onto the podium in this session thanks to a 3:52.588 loop from South African Jonathan Aberdein.

The Corvettes are still dominating in LMGTE Pro with the best time for Nicky Catsburg in 3:52.710 in the No. 8 C63.R and 0.021 seconds on the No. 64 driven by Tommy Milner. Third place in the category goes to Gianmaria Bruni on the Porsche 911 RSR – 19 n°91 in 3:53.123.

Harry Tincknell distinguished himself in LMGTE Am with a lap of 3:55.067 in the No. 911 Dempsey – Proton Racing Porsche 19 RSR – 77. It’s even a double for the German team with second place for Jan Heylen at the wheel of the No. 88, 0.198 seconds behind his British teammate. There Ferrari 488 GTE Evo n°61 from AF Corse, which will start in first position in this category on Sunday, finished in third place with a lap of 3:55.323 from Louis Prette.
