24 hours of Le Mans – H+4: A Peugeot in the lead, the Safety Car drags on…

The fourth hour of the race took place entirely under Safety Car regime, while the rain stopped at Le Mans... and Peugeot was leading the way!

Hypercar

  • After the chaos caused by the flood at 18:50 p.m., things calmed down on Le Mans thanks to the safety car. The rain even stopped… but not the Safety Car, still on the track at 20 p.m.
  • And the one that stood out during the rain was Peugeot ! The No. 94 driven by Gustavo Menezes leads the 24 Hours of Le Mans, ahead of the Porsche n°6 and the Toyota n ° 7.
  • On the other hand, the other Peugeot had a mishap at Mulsanne. Jean-Éric Vergne, wearing slicks on a still wet track, spun and remained stuck in the gravel trap. The Frenchman set off again but one lap behind the Hypercar peloton.

LM P2

  • In LM P2, thanks to an early stop, both Alpine lead the dance! The No. 35 driven by Memo Rojas is in the lead ahead of the No. 36 of Julien Canal. The French team is ahead of the only surviving United Autosport, the No. 23 of Oliver Jarvis.

GTE-Am

  • Finally, in GTE-Am, it was the Iron Dames who took control of the race with Sarah Bovy on board. The #85 Porsche in front of another Porsche, that of Project 1 – AO driven by PJ Hyett. Lilou Wadoux and Ferrari #83 are at a standstill and are not expected to restart after their accident in the rain at the Porsche corners…
