Thanks to him, the Prancing Horse rose to the top of the qualifications of 24 Hours of Le Mans, for the first time since 1973. This man with the dazzling smile under his red cap is Antonio Fire, pilot of the Ferrari 499P n°50.

The 27-year-old driver produced a magnificent effort during the Hyperpole session of the 24 2023 Hours of Le Mans, completing a lap almost 8 tenths faster than that of his teammate Alessandro Pier Guidi.

“It’s great, really, to take this pole position in front of all this audience, declared the pole sitter of the Centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. After 50 years, we achieve a new pole at Le Mans! It was a difficult session.

During my first attempt, I was a little behind the sister car (driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi. Editor’s note). But, for my second flying lap, I produced maximum effort, I left nothing in reserve.

I'm so proud of the whole team, the people on the team have been doing exceptional work since the start of the week. It's something special. I can't really realize it! I just want to enjoy the moment. Tomorrow (Friday), I would have time to refocus and think about my race. »
