Ce 2e relais a souri à Julien Andlaeur. Engouffré en 3e position, le pilote de la Porsche N°79 de WeatherTech Racing n’a pas fait dans le détail dans cette 2e heure de course aux 24 Hours of Le Mans. On its momentum, the Habs took the scalps of Nicolas Leutwiler (Team Project 1) and Sébastien Priaulx (Dempsey-Proton Racing), also on Porsche, to take control of GTE Am as the 30th lap approaches.
In Hypercar, Toyota déroule tout simplement. Avec les N°7 et N°8 solidement installées en tête, le constructeur a entamé de la meilleure des manières ces 90e 24 Heures du Mans. De son côté, Alpine was able to gain a position to move up to 4th after an unforeseen passage through the garage of Glickenhaus 007 No. 709 who stayed for just one minute to resolve a problem with the right front wheel.
In LM P2, the JOTA No. 38 continues on its merry way. After two hours of racing, the English team's Oreca 07 remains on course with a 24-second lead over the No. 32 of Team WRT. Down to 4th, the Prema N°9, now driven by Lorenzo Colombo, has moved up to 3rd position and is now putting pressure on the N°32.
In GTE Pro, the first drive-through of the 90th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans fell for the Ferrari No. 51 for non-compliance with track limits. In terms of the ranking, the No. 63 Corvette no longer leads in front of its sister car, the No. 66. It was the No. 91 Porsche with Gianmaria Bruni at the controls which took 2nd position in the category.
