Who says historical edition, says historical livery. For the Centenary of 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 10-11), marking its 7e participation, IDEC Sport decided to innovate. In Sarthe, the tricolor team will be “associated” with the French manufacturer Delage and will thus present itself with a special livery.

« The IDEC Sport team is happy to enter into this partnership with Delage, underlines Patrice Lafargue, president of the IDEC Group and IDEC Sport. This name conjures up great things for car fans. And there is a real history in Sarthe, a history that we have also been writing on our scale for 7 years now. It's great to continue writing it and to carry out this special operation for this great celebration that will be the centenary of the most beautiful race in the world. We are proud that Delage recognizes our skills and I thank them. I would also like to thank the ACO for the confidence they have placed in us once again by allowing us to be part of the 62 cars at the start »

Thus, IDEC Sport will abandon its traditional colors (red and black) for a predominantly blue Oreca 07 N°48, naturally reminiscent of Delage. As a reminder, the manufacturer was taken over in 2019 by Laurent Tapie. After the presentation of the D12 showcar and the running of the prototype last year at Goodwood, the brand founded by Louis Delagence began production of its first models.

« For Delage, the opportunity to return to Le Mans is a fantastic opportunity to continue rebuilding the brand's reputation internationally, points out the new owner. I would like to thank Patrice Lafargue and the entire IDEC Sport team for giving us this opportunity. The technical cooperation between our teams can make us optimistic for the race, as there is so much skill and enthusiasm combined, as our first joint tests at Le Castellet demonstrated. »
