Test Day – A Ferrari the fastest of the morning, alert at Peugeot

Driving began this Sunday on the Le Mans circuit with the first part of the Test Day. The #50 Ferrari set the best time, while the #93 Peugeot encountered a problem.

  • The morning session of Test Day 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023 started at 10:00 a.m. this Sunday.
  • It was the LM P2s which covered the most laps during the morning.
  • As for the Hypercar category, the Peugeot No. 94 was the most diligent with 31 laps completed, ahead of the Toyota n°8 (30) and the Ferrari No. 51 (30). 
  • On the clock, the fastest of the morning was the #499 Ferrari 50P in 3'30''686 driven by Antonio Fuoco. 
  • The #94 Peugeot took second place in 3'31"346. Third position for Porsche 963 from Hertz Team JOTA in 3'31"477.
  • A red flag was displayed at 12:20 p.m. after the #93 Peugeot stopped on track. An alert has been detected on the car.
  • The session ended with another red flag after the #7 Toyota went off track while Mike conway was behind the wheel.
  • The challenge of this Test Day for newcomers to Le Mans is to complete the 10 laps allowing them to compete in the race next weekend. Mission accomplished for Dorian Pin (Prema) with 13 laps covered during this morning.
  • Resumption at 15:30 p.m. for three additional hours of driving on the Circuit de la Sarthe.
