H4 – TheAlpine rejected after 4 laps following a mechanical problem

The hopes of victory, or at least of a podiumAlpine Asked 24 Hours of Le Mans 2022, may have disappeared shortly before the four-hour mark of racing this Saturday, June 11. Matthieu Vaxiviere's mount was brought back to his stand due to regular engine stalls. The hydraulic clutch control was repaired and the A480 restarted in 28th place after losing more than four laps on the Toyota.
Brendon Hartley (Toyota n°8) is in the lead ahead of José Maria Lopez (Toyota n°7), who went through the gravel at the Daytona chicane in the Hunaudières. The Argentinian lost his first place there.
In LM P2, the English team Jota dominates with the first two positions. Team WRT and Richard Mille Racing are fighting for the places of honor ahead of Team Penske.
In GTE Pro, Corvette leads the debates with Nicky Catsburg (n°63). Favored on several occasions by slow zones which slowed down its competitors, the C8.R took around thirty seconds ahead of the two Porsche Official 911 RSR. THE Ferrari 488 GTE are left behind.
In GTE Am, Porsche is at ease. Thomas Merrill (WeatherTech Racing) rides in front of the experienced Christian Ried (Dempsey-Proton Racing).
