The 24 Hours of Le Mans have unveiled the program for the 2022 edition, including the return of the public during the Test Day.

After two years marked by the health crisis, the 24 Hours of Le Mans find a more traditional slot for this 2022 season, with a race scheduled for June 11 and 12. The 90th edition will also mark the return of the public during the Test Day and weigh-in in the city center of Le Mans. The administrative and technical checks will thus make their grand return to the Place de la République on Friday June 3 and Saturday June 4, making it possible to cover both the Test Day on Sunday June 5 and the double round of the clock the following weekend. . The Pitwalk will also be back on Tuesday June 7 afternoon with driver signing sessions and new activities. As for the competition, the first free practice session will take place on Wednesday June 8 at 14 p.m. while the Hyperpole is scheduled for Thursday evening 7, between 20 p.m. and 20:30 p.m. 

The 24 2022 Hours of Le Mans will also benefit from three support races, including Road to Le Mans and the Ligier European Series which will discover the 13,626 kilometers of the circuit for the first time. Finally, the Porsche Sprint Challenge France will also be there. These three events will take place on Thursday June 9 and Friday June 10. This last day will also feature new animations which will be revealed later. For the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it will be given at 16 p.m. on Saturday June 11. “The 24 Hours of Le Mans is finally back, after two editions heavily impacted by the health crisis their usual date in June and an intense program is being prepared, explains Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest. The return of events for the general public, including the weigh-in in the city center, will make this 90th edition a unique moment, full of emotions for fans and teams.
