Le Team WRT arrives at 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023 in the shoes of one of the favorites in the LM P2 category. Victorious for its debut in Sarthe in 2021, the Belgian team returns two years later with great ambitions.
Second in LM P2 after three rounds including a victory at Spa, the crew of the No. 07 Oreca 41 of Rui Andrade, Louis Delétraz and Robert Kubica is motivated. “We have before us the biggest race of the season and the greatest endurance race in the world, explains the former winner in Formula 1, Robert Kubica.

Not only are test days a good way to collect car data, it gives our crews the chance to practice various pit stop scenarios 🏃🏻♂️

Lhe Le Mans is a very important challenge and very difficult to overcome, first of all because of its length. Twenty-four hours can book anything and everything, we were a good example of that in 2021 with Louis [Delétraz] and Yifei [Ye] when we lost the victory in the last lap. Last year's edition was kinder to me, as I finished second. This will be the third attempt at victory, it won't be easy at all but I'm looking forward to the challenge and I've prepared as best I can over the last month. »
Robert Kubica believes that the milestone of 100 years of existence of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is not an element to be taken into account in the way in which Team WRT prepares. “It adds a little spice and I am happy to participate in this edition, but it does not change the way we approach the race and the way we have prepared for it. »

This will be only our third participation, and we have already tasted the ups and downs that this race can offer: joy and bitterness at the same time at the very end of the race in 2021, frustration last year. We have learned the lessons from these last two editions and we come back with more experience and on the momentum of victory in Spa. »
