Loïc duval left the steering wheel Peugeot 9X8 n°94 to Nico Müller in 2nd place in the general classification at around 23 p.m. during these 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023. The Frenchman, winner of the 2013 edition, follows the action plan established by his team before departure.

“We're trying to get through it, it's not easy in these conditions but it's the same for everyone,” he explains into the speaker's microphone at the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. We ran a clean race, we are still in the match. We don't yet have the pure performance to get the first places, but we're not very far away. We hold on to that.

If we manage to have a clean race, using pit stops only to change tires and refuel, we won't be too bad. »

Loïc Duval has no illusions about the pure performance chances of the Peugeot 9X8 against the Toyota and Ferrari Hypercars. “It is not on speed that we can win this race, but we must have a very clean event from an operational point of view. »
