The celebrations of the Centenary of 24 Hours of Le Mans will they be disrupted by the weather? The question is being asked more and more as forecasts become more refined over the hours. According to the latest forecasts from Météo-France (made this Saturday 10/06 at 9 a.m.), the race should take place well in rainy conditions. The Sarthe department is even placed on orange storm alert…

After the almost stifling heat of the week, thunderstorms are expected this Saturday afternoon before departure, with small gusts of wind at 50 km/h. Rain is therefore expected to fall when setting up on the grid, before 16 p.m., and for the first hours of racing, with temperatures around 24°C. Although the night should be calmer, the rain should persist throughout the night, at lower intensity.

The last 24 Hours of Le Mans disrupted by rain date back to 2021, where the start was given on a very wet track before the weather improved.
