VIDEO. The Garage 56 Nascar makes its V8 scream at Le Mans

The spectators present at the edge of the circuit 24 Hours of Le Mans during the first tests of the Centenary edition are not ready to forget the noise caused by the passage of the car bearing the number 24.
Equipped with the famous small block V8 used in NASCAR Cup Series, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 shared by Jenson Button, Jimmie Johnson and Mike Rockenfeller drove the times during qualifying.

The Hendrick Motorsports team shaved two seconds off its time with a fast lap of 3:47. This mark was almost four seconds faster than the best car in the GTE Am class. Then, at night during Free Practice, the best time of the Chevrolet from Garage 976 was 56'3''51, a little more than two seconds faster than the GTE Am class.
This performance is partly explained by the difference in power (200 additional horsepower than the GT) in favor of the Garage 56, although it also weighs 200 additional kilos on the scale.
