Evening announcements for BMW M Motorsport. In addition to the presentation of the Team WRT program, the propeller manufacturer revealed a list of 20 official drivers who will represent it around the world in 2023. A “world class” team according to the brand’s managers.
Back in the premier categoryEndurance via its LMDh program, BMW has secured the services of numerous drivers on the other side of the Atlantic. Among its list of 20 factory drivers, the German structure continues to place its trust in Augusto Farfus, Connor de Phillippi, Nick Yelloly, Marco Wittmann and the recent champion of DTM Sheldon van der Linde.
Confirmed last September for the 24 2023 Hours of Daytona (January 28-29), Colton Herta returns to BMW and will now have the status of official driver in the same way as Maxime Martin, René Rast, Jake Dennis or even Philipp Eng. Team WRT moved from Audi to Hélice after ten years of collaboration, Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor logically followed suit in preparation for the new season.

BMW's official debut in 2023 will take place at the upcoming 24 Hours of Daytona with Team RLL's M Hybrid V8 LMDh. Before that, the German structure will be “represented” by Team WRT at the 24 Hours of Dubai (January 13-15). Note that ROWE Racing and Team RMG will enter a BMW M4 GT3 at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring (May 18-21).
