Launched in 2020, the Ligier European Series will have two new classes in 2023. Alongside the season finale in Portimão (Portugal), the championship announced the arrival of the Pro-Am and Am classes in JS2 R and JS P4 .

A renewed staffing system

From next season, these new classes will be created in the two categories of the championship: a Pro-Am classification reserved for Gold-Bronze and Silver-Bronze crews and an Am classification for Bronze alone and Bronze-Bronze duos. Drivers eligible for these two new classifications will also compete in the general classification of the two categories. Another change for the next season of the Ligier European Series: the penalty system in the pit lane will be adapted in order to maintain sporting fairness and to give all drivers a chance to fight for overall victory.

In 2022, the Ligier European Series put in place a unique prize system to promote its champions and allow them to continue their ascent within the endurance pyramid: €150 for the Ligier JS P000 champions to race in 4 in Michelin Le Mans Cup at the wheel of a Ligier JS P320 and €100 for the Ligier JS000 R champions to compete in 2 in the Ligier European Series at the controls of a Ligier JS P2023. These prizes will be renewed in 4 for the champions of each category. This year, Gillian Henrion and Haytham Qarajouli are guaranteed titles in their respective categories.
