The 4H. of Monza, third round of the 2022 seasonEuropean Le Mans Series, take place this Sunday. The first Free Practice session held this Friday was owned by Jack Aitken. The Briton set the reference time from the first minutes, with no one managing to beat the 1:38.690 lap set by the Racing Team Turkey driver. The LM P2 Pro-Ams were definitely in good shape as the #88 AF Corse of François Perrodo, Nicklas Nielsen and Alessio Rovera took second place, 0.391 seconds behind. The podium in the general classification was completed by the n°65 of Panis Racing (Julien Canal, Job van Uitert, Nicolas Jamin).
In LM P3, it was Sebastian Alvarez who was the fastest of these 1H EL4s. from Monza. The Mexican completed his best lap in 1:44.776 on the only Duqeueine M30 – D08 – Nissan entered, that of DKR Engineering. The Ligier JS P320 – Nissan of Inter Europol Competition (Nico Pino, Charles Crews, Guilherme Oliveira) and United Autosports (Bailey Voisin, Joshua Caygill, Finn Gehrsitz) took second and third places.
Du côté des GTE, Alessio Picariello a établi la marque de référence avec la Porsche 911 RSR – 19 d’Absolute Racing. Le Belge a devancé une autre Porsche, la °77 de Proton Competition (Christian Ried, Lorenzo Ferrari, Gianmaria Bruni) by 0.271 seconds. The No. 488 Ferrari 60 GTE Evo of Iron Lynx (Claudio Schiavoni, Matteo Cressoni, Davide Rigon) completed the podium at 0.409 seconds.
Next and final test session on the Monza circuit this Saturday from 9:00 a.m.
