The numerous showers which punctuated the 4H of Portimão, final round of the 2022 season of theELMS, did not disturb Prema. After narrowly missing a first match point during qualifying the day before, the crew of Oreca 07 – Gibson n°9 acquired their title in style by winning on the Portuguese circuit. On a wet track, Juan Manuel Correa quickly took the lead, pursued by Pietro Fittipaldi. The Brazilian took the lead with the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition and returned the car in this position to his teammate David Heinemeier-Hanson. The Dane was unable to maintain the advantage acquired by his teammate and fell down the rankings. After an interlude by Mathias Beche for TDS Racing x Vaillante, it was Ferdinand Habsburg who took the lead. The Austrian then Louis Delétraz was not going to let go and thus offered themselves the ELMS 2022 title.

Cruel outcome for Inter Europol Competition in LM P3. While the title seemed promised to the Polish team ten minutes from time, Guilherme Oliveira hit a GT while leaving the pits and the #320 Ligier JS P13 – Nissan ended its race in the gravel. The local of the stage collapsed in despair in the grass after getting out of the car while the crew he formed with Nicolas Pino and Charles Crews could be satisfied with a 7th place at the finish to be sacred. The victory and the title ultimately went to the COOL Racing n°17 of Malthe Jakobsen, Maurice Smith and Michael Benham.

The Iron Dames have their much-desired victory in LM GTE. Part of pole position thanks to Sarah Bovy and led by a Dorian Pin supersonic during its second stint, the Ferrari 488 GTE Evo pink n°83 has largely established itself in its category, ahead of theAston Martin Vantage AMR n°69 from Oman Racing with TF Sport (Ahmad Al Harthy, Samuel De Haan, Marco Sørensen) and another Ferrari, that of Kessel Racing (Takeshi Kimura, Frederik Schandorff, Mikkel Jensen). Fifth, the Porsche n°77 of Proton Competition wins the title (Christian Ried, Lorenzo Ferrari, Gianmaria Bruni).
