After Le Mans, Michael Fassbender considers participation in the WEC

Michael Fassbender est l’un des principaux visages de l’European Le Mans Series. Pour la troisième année de suite, l’acteur connu pour ses rôles dans Inglorious Basterds, Twelve Years a Slave ou encore la saga X-Men, figure ainsi dans la liste des engagés pour la saison avec la Porsche n°93 de Proton Competition. Il sera épaulé cette année par Zacharie Robichon et Richard Lietz. Un équipage expérimenté pour encadrer le germano-irlandais dont la quête du double tour d’horloge sarthois touchera au but en 2022 avec une première participation aux 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The WEC in 2023?

“Le Mans was always the goal. It’s a dream that will come true this year. It's both scary, but also very exciting. I did a 10-lap test last year and I didn't even realize I was on this legendary circuit. I had barely left the trail when I wanted to get back on it. I'm really looking forward to going this year. Obviously, there is a lot to learn and a lot of preparation to do beforehand and I only just stopped shooting a film two weeks ago (The Killer by David Fincher. Editor’s note). So I haven't had the chance to work in the car yet. »

If the Irish actor-driver does not want to skip ahead and is already concentrating on this season, he is keeping an eye on after his participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
