The Indian-American will perform a double program IMSA - ELMS this season, he who was at the start of the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January (retirement). The 21-year-old driver will be on board the No. 07 Oreca 23 alongside Paul di Resta and Fabio Scherer.

“I can’t wait to race in Europe, rejoices Bijoy Garg. New circuits, new challenges… I really enjoyed driving the LMP2 during my test with United Autosports in Portimão, which is where we will race for the finale of what I'm sure will be a successful season in the European Le Mans Series. »

Bijoy Garg was crowned champion in IMSA VP Racing Sportscar Challenge last year, with eight wins in twelve rounds, and also won Petit Le Mans in the LM P3 category in IMSA. “The double bill that we signed with Bijoy is really interesting, said Richard Dean, CEO of United Autosports. He had an excellent season as a rookie and we look forward to seeing him progress in LM P2, both in IMSA and ELMS. We won the European Le Mans Series runner-up title in LM P2 Pro last season and, with the addition of Bijoy to the team, I am confident that we can achieve even more success in 2024.”

United Autosports will field three Oreca 07s in ELMS this year. The No. 23 therefore, but also the No. 22 with Ben Hanley, Marino Sato and Filip Ugran as well as the No. 21 in LM P2 Pro-Am with Daniel Schneider, Andy Meyrick and Oliver Jarvis.
