Two French people at Porsche

Porsche has presented its eight official drivers for the 2010 season. In the Le Mans Series, ALMS and at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, four Germans, an Austrian, an American and two Frenchmen (Patrick Pilet and Romain Dumas) will wear the Porsche colors.

Two French people at Porsche

As in 2009, the German Marc Lieb and the Austrian Richard Lietz will compete in the Le Mans Series with a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR de l?équipe Felbermayr-Proton. Dans la même discipline, le Français Patrick Pilet reste au sein de l?équipe IMSA Matmut performance.

The German Joerg Bergmeister and the American Patrick Long will defend their ALMS title with a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR from Flying Lizard Motorsports. German Wolf Henzler will drive a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR from the Falken Tire team.

German Timo Bernhard and Frenchman Romain Dumas will be at the start of the 24 Hours of Nürburging, an event they won in 2009.

These eight drivers will also take part in other endurance events with other teams during the year.

“We are very proud to be able to count on eight world-class drivers for this 2010 season,” comments Hartmut Kristen, head of the Porsche competition branch. “We know them all very well and we know that our customer teams can count on their talent. These drivers will also play an important role in the development and optimization of our competition models. »

First meeting at the 24 Hours of Daytona where many will be driving Porsche 911 GT3 Cups.
