DragonSpeed on pole at Silverstone

For a long time, we believed that for its first race outing with an Oreca 07, United Autosports would take pole position thanks to Filipe Albuquerque. But that was without counting on Ben Hanley and a spin from the Portuguese during his final attempt.

Hanley, thanks to a lap completed in 1'47"498, gave DragonSpeed its first pole position of the season. The Briton finally respectively beat Albuquerque and Paul Loup Chatin (Oreca 07 n°28 / IDEC Sport) by 0”329 and 0”662.

The top five is completed by Nicolas lapierre (Oreca 07 n°37 / Cool Racing) and Will Stevens (Oreca 07 n°23 / Panis Barthez Compétition), which precedes the Aurus 01 n°26 of G-Drive Racing, which dominates the championship. The first non-Oreca is 10th, the #217 United Autosports Ligier JS P32.

In LM P3, pole position goes to the #30 M. Racing Norma M19 at the wheel of which we find Yann Ehrlacher, Lucas Légeret and Laurent Millara.

Finally, in GTE, it was Proton Competition which came out on top thanks to the Porsche 911 RSR n°88 by Thomas Preining-Giuanluca Giraudi-Ricardo Sanchez.

The start of the race will be at 15:30 p.m. French time.
