ELMS – Gunnar Jeannette convinced Ram Racing

Ram Racing completes its line-up for the seasonELMS by formalizing Gunnar Jeannette on the second Ferrari 458 Italy. The British team has already announced Johnny Mowlem and Matt Griffin on its first car and will soon reveal the Floridian's teammate. After winning the LMPC category in ALMS in 2011, the American turned to GT with Luxury Racing in WEC before competing in the 24 Hours of Dubai. “Gunnar had replaced another injured driver at short notice but he did very well”, comments director Dan Shufflebottom. “He had never met the staff before, apart from his engineer Mark Schomann, Johnny and Guy (Smith), but after half an hour it was no longer visible. He has already worked with bronze category pilots as he will do again. He has experience driving the F458 and his performance in Dubai was very satisfactory, both on and off the track. »

Gunnar Jeannette, who in 2000 became the youngest driver to complete the 24 Hours of Le Mans, is looking forward to competing in ELMS this season with Ram Racing and being an important element within the British structure. “Dan (Shufflebottom) has brought together a superb group by mixing several styles of drivers and I am convinced that our program with Ram in ELMS will represent a nice surprise in motorsport. I have competed in a lot of European races in different disciplines in recent years but I have never done a full season. The opportunity to compete in my first European Championship was what I was looking for. In addition, the very competitive discipline is very attractive. »
