Las Motorsport was created with the association of 3 entities: Sébastien Loeb Racing, Adess AG and Sora Racing. Together, they will launch an LMP3 in competition from 2015 which will make its first laps on the track in the coming weeks.
The car will have 2 versions: one reserved for the ACO powered by a 420hp Nissan block and a “Challenge” version equipped with an engine developing 80hp more. The first will be rreserved forELMS and the Asian Le Mans TV Shows, while the second will be adapted for various Championships such as VdeV Endurance Series, the Open Sports Car Series or the DMSB Sportscar Challenge.
Adess AG was in charge of the design and homologation of the LMP3. This design office (Advanced Design & Engineering Systems Solutions) was created in 2012 by the former engineer F1 Stéphane Chosse. It is this structure which developed the Lotus T128 LMP2 and which worked with HRT F1 Team. “By combining our skills, we offer a new prototype to racing teams that is both innovative and affordable.”, commented the director of Adess AG.
Sora Racing is particularly known for having built the Pescarolo 02 Open and Coupé. The structure is also based at the Tecnoparc des 24 Heures du Mans. “When we started this project 6 years ago, we hoped that our products could compete in an International Championship. It's done ! », rejoiced Jean-Philippe Perrier. “We are opening a new chapter in our motorsport business, certainly the most exciting. »
Dominique Heintz, Team Principal of Sébastien Loeb Racing, is also impatient to see this creation take part in the competition. The Alsatian team will be in charge of fine-tuning, developing and assembling the cars. “We are very pleased with the initial reactions of the drivers to whom we have presented the car. »
