ELMS – Prospeed reconnects with Emmanuel Collard

La Porsche 911 GT3 RSR from Prospeed Competition will once again attack theELMS. Emmanuel Collard returns to defend the Belgian team after having defended the interests of Rui Penders' team in European FIA GT2. The Frenchman will start the inaugural event at Silverstone alongside his compatriot François Perrodo and will be replaced at Imola by Sébastien Crubilé. “Over the past few days, Rudi (Penders) and Luc (Goris, technical director) have been working hard developing the future of Prospeed Competition. They succeeded and I am delighted to work with them again. We will evolve race after race with François. There is no doubt that we will still have a few things to learn at Silverstone, but we approach this challenge with confidence and with the intention of progressing. »

Prospeed Competition was won over by the new format offered by the organizers. The Belgian team is also delighted to have been able to reconnect with Emmanuel Collard who won the Le Mans Series in 2011 with Pescarolo. “We are returning to ELMS and it is fantastic news because we must not forget that the team achieved a victory in the GTE Am category at Paul Ricard last year. The new regulations offer a mix of choices with a professional driver and one or more gentlemen drivers. This brings a bright new future to the category. Manu (Collard) was one of the Porsche Motorsport drivers that Prospeed Competition helped reach the international stage with victories and titles in 2008 and 2009 in European FIA GT2. He will be the captain of the team. »
