ELMS – Rollcentre Racing returns with an LMP3

Rollcentre Racing will make its return in ELMS with a Ginetta-Juno entered in the new LMP3 category which is very successful. The British team distinguished itself at the 24 Hours of Le Mans starting by entering two Dallara Judd LMP1s in 2004 and 2005 before moving to LMP2 with Radical-Judds. In 2007, the English structure took fourth place in the general ranking with a Pescarolo-Judd.

Martin Short, the driver boss of Rollcentre Racing, took part in this feat alongside Stuart Hall and Joao Barbosa. The director is also known for developing TVR's Tuscan R. “I didn’t think I could come back, but the Ginetta-Juno caught my attention. It's a real Le Mans prototype with good construction and good equipment required by the ACO. explains Short in the team's press release.

The boss of Rollcentre Racing does not seem to have any intention of getting back behind the wheel. “We will have the car before the first race at Silverstone (April 11), but there will be little room for maneuver for us, as for the other five Ginettas built at the same time.”, underlines Martin Short. « I don't plan to ride at the moment, but I will oversee the team using my experience with top racing engineer Lee Penn, to put the car at the forefront. Victory in LMP3 offers a place in LMP2 for 2016 and that will be our goal. »
